Prince Charles visits NZ Coastguard

Prince Charles, the patron of the Coastguard, pays a visit to the northern communications coastguard centre at Mechanics Bay, meeting and greeting volunteers from across the north island. 

Prince Charles arrived at the naval base in Stanley Bay before heading across the Waitemata harbour in a Howick Rescue's 9.5m Naiad coastguard vessel.
