Tyrant, 7.3 Special Edition EXP

Size: 7.3 Special Edition
Location: Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand

To coincide with the March IMTEC on the Water Boatshow in Auckland, Naiad has released the new 7.3 2004 Pleasure Boat. This RIB has plenty of room for sitting around fishing or picnicking, ample storage and a long, head-height canopy much needed these days in protecting against UV rays.

Naiads have a reputation for a soft ride that can't be beat. But Naiad's latest design, the double stepped hull, improves on this while also providing better planing speeds and less wake. Naiad once again lives up to its reputation for progressive, forward thinking designs.

The latest Yamaha 300hp outboard pushes this big boat up to planing speed so quickly it is beyond belief. Its top speed achieved to date is 57 knots, although props are still being experimented with. Shortly this model will be available as part of the Naiad range, with customers able to choose their preferred colours of paint and upholstery. For a quick trip in extreme comfort this RIB gives it all!

Pictured right is the boat being put through its paces on Lake Taupo.
