New Vessel Commissioned for Marine Rescue Brunswick, Australia

March 2013

Marine Rescue NSW has recently commissioned it's latest vessel. A 9.5 metre Naiad, built by Naiad's Australian east coast licensee, Yamba Welding and Engineering.

Named 'Brunswick 30, this vessel is built on the same rapid response platform that the NSW Police, Marine Rescue Wooli (NSW) and Coastguard New Zealand use. Powered by twin 250hp Mercury Verado engines it can reach speeds above 40 knots (74 km/h). It features a sophisticated electronics package including AIS, FLIR and advanced First Aid equipment.

'Brunswick 30 is a significant investment in the safety of local and visiting boaters and also of our volunteers. Built by Yamba Welding and Engineering, it is also an investment in jobs in regional NSW.' Commissioner Stacey Tannos said.
