Whitianga Coastguard's New 4.8

Whitianga Coastguard has just taken delivery of their new 4.8m Naiad small rescue vessel Endeavour. With Rescue Orange bags and Coastguard White topsides it is a striking looking boat packed with gear. It is fitted with an full electronics set including GPS, radar, VHF, compass, twin batteries and an under floor fuel tank.

Powering it is a Yamaha 70 hp 4‐stroke 25" shaft 115 hp which gives a top speed 27.2 knots with a cruise of 18-20 knots.

Up front is a folding bollard and anchor locker. There is under-seat storage and more compartments at the stern. All up it weights 981 kg with fuel and crew, lightship is 678 kg.
